Obituary of Stella Alberta Poley
The death of Stella Alberta Poley, wife of Kenneth Poley, occurred on July 4, 2005 at her residence. Born in Saint John she was the daughter of the late Earl and Rita (Day) Graves. She was employed with the Royal Bank for many years retiring as Manager of the Current Accounts. She was a member of St. Columba Presbyterian Church and was a member of the I.O.D.E. She was a devoted mother and loving grandmother. Besides her husband she is survived by her daughters Dianne and her husband Dr. Eric Grant of Rothesay, Elaine Poley of Saint John, her brother Earl Graves and his wife Anna of Saint John, her sisters Barbara and her husband Irvine Greer of Sussex, Marjorie 'Midge' and her husband Sterling Causey of Norwood, ON, Dorothy 'Dottie' Algiers of Norwood, ON, Rita and her husband Frenette Hebert of Saint John, her grandchildren Andrew, William, Thomas, Timothy, and several nieces and nephews. Her sister Shirley Ryan predeceased her. Resting at Brenans Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row (634-7424), with visiting on Tuesday from 7-9 pm and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 7, 2005, at 1:00 pm, from Brenans Chapel. Interment will take place at Greenwood Cemetery. Remembrances made to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
