Obituary of Roberta J. Middleton

The death of Roberta Jessie Middleton of Ragged Point Road, Saint John, NB, wife of Roy I. Middleton, occurred on Monday, May 31, 2004 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, NB, she was the daughter of the late Robert Roy and Jessie Ross (White) Wade. She had been a lifelong resident of this city and was a member of Portland United Church. In addition to her husband, she is survived by six sons, Charles, Brian, Robert (Estelle), Gordon (Joanne), and Douglas (Catherine), all of Saint John and Larry (Debbie) of Rothesay; two daughters, Linda (Robert) Ross of Cambridge, Narrows and Donna (Paul) Berube of Rothesay; a sister, Kathleen P. Long of Fredericton; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her parents; sisters, Mary and Ella; and brothers, Verner, Leonard, Mel and Roy. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB, (506-634-7424) with visiting on Tuesday and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral will be held from Brenan's Chapel on Thursday with service at 2:15 p.m. Interment will take place at Ocean View Memorial Gardens. Remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Saint John Alzheimer Society.
