Obituary of Thomas Roy Saunders
The death of Thomas (Tommy) Saunders of Gondola Point, NB, occurred after a failing period of health on Sunday, October 10, 2004. Born in Saint John, NB, he is the son of Elva Saunders and the late Thomas Hartley Saunders. Tommy's family was the center of his existence, he will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Tommy is survived by his mother Elva Saunders, step-father Gordon Sparkes, three brothers Paul, Rothesay, NB, Stanley and Roy, Quispamsis, NB, four sisters Marilyn Cochrane, Kingston Creek, NB, Gladys Davis (Raymond), Saint John, NB, Mary Herbert, Thelma Flaherty and Jessie Saunders of Saint John, NB, several nieces and nephews. Tommy is predeceased by his father Thomas, Gladys Saunders (Nanny), his uncles Burpee, Murray and George Saunders. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (506-634-7424) with visiting on Thursday, 2-4,7-9 PM. Funeral service will be held in St Luke's Church, Gondola Point, NB on Friday, October 15, 2004 at 3:00 PM, interment to follow in St Luke's Cemetery. Donations in memory of Tommy may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or donors choice.
