Obituary of Franklin H. Foster
The death of Frank Foster, husband of Geraldine (Chiasson) Foster, of Saint John, occurred on August 24, 2004 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, he was a son of Harold Foster and the late Stella (Buckley) Foster. Frank was employed for many years by the John Howard Society, where he was a Human Service Counselor. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and photography, for which he received many awards. He was a former member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #53 and also the captain of the Men's City & District Dart Club, the Cobras. Besides his wife and his father, Frank is survived by two sons, Stephen (Linda) Foster of Calgary, AB and Dennis Driscoll of Abbotsford BC; two daughters, Natasha (Scott) Ellick of Wickham, NB and Natalie Driscoll of Saint John, NB; his brother, Stephen (Ann) Foster of Saint John; one sister, Linda (Greg) Smith of Bath ON; one aunt, Ruth Buckley; his grandchildren, Jacob, Heather, Joseph Ellick and Dara Driscoll; several cousins, nieces and nephews. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506-634-7424) with visiting on Wednesday and Thursday, August 25 & 26, 2004 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Stella Maris Church, 201 Bayside Drive, Saint John on Friday, August 27, 2004 at 11:00am. Interment will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick or a charity of the donor's choice.
