Obituary of Dorothy Mae McLean
The death of Dorothy Mae 'Lynn' McLean, wife of the late Dr. John Douglas McLean, occurred on May 16, 2005 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Canso, NS, she was the daughter of the late Kingston and Rena (McKenzie) Keating. She was a member of St. Pius X Church and regularly attended the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. She is survived by her sons Douglas, Andrew and Stephen, her daughters Elizabeth, Anne and Mary, her brothers John, Edward and Delbert, her sister Maureen McKelvie, her grandchildren Patrick, Christopher, Anna, Katherine, John, Joseph, Matthew, Michael, James, Emily, Sarah, Jacob, Hannah and Elizabeth and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her grandson Mikey and her brother Lloyd. Although there are no visiting hours, following cremation at Brenans Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row (634-7424), the Mass of Christian Burial is to be celebrated on Thursday, May 19, 2005, at 12 noon, from the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. Interment will take place at the Black's Harbour Cemetery. In lieu of flowers remembrances made to the North End Food Bank would be appreciated.
