Obituary of Sadie A. McKinney
On June 9, 2004 The doors of heaven were opened to welcome Sadie Agnes (Osborne) McKinney of Brunswick Drive, Born in Saint John she was the daughter of the late John and Agnes (McDermott) Osborne. Wife of the late William G. McKinney occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Sadie was employed as a radio dispatcher for Levine's and Vet's Taxi and also with Fairview Bowling Lanes as a cashier until her retirement in 1979. She is survived by daughter Barbara (Helmut) Rottgers of Saint John, grandson Luke, several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents she was predeceased by son James McKinney, brother James Osborne, sister Madeline Austin and sister-in-law Dorothy Osborne. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506-634-7424) with visiting on Thursday and Friday June 10 and 11, 2004 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, June 12, 2004 from the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception at 10:30 am. Interment will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
