Obituary of Herbert A. McGrath
The death of Herbert A. McGrath of Willow Grove, NB, husband of 59 years to Leatha (Weston) McGrath, occurred on Friday, May 13, 2005 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Black River, NB, he was the son of the late Matthew and Catherine (Duffy) McGrath. Besides his loving and devoted wife, he is survived by nine children, Sterling McGrath (Marilyn) of Lakewood, Elaine Duncan (Donald) of Rowley, Mary Snell (Brian) of Rowley, Carol Ryan (Arthur) of Lakewood Drive, Michael McGrath of Willow Grove, Richard McGrath (Martha) of St. Martins, Daniel McGrath (Debra) of Saint John, Patricia Davis (Jamie) of Willow Grove and Paula Dobbelsteyn (Jamie) of Quispamsis, one brother, Lawrence McGrath (Madelion) of Saint John, one sister, Rita O'Brien of Saint John, 18 grandchildren, one great granddaughter, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one granddaughter, Sarah, six brothers, Tom, Francis, James, Harold, William and Charles and six sisters, Sister Sarah McGrath, Kathleen Quinn, Florence Maillet, Loretta Green, Margaret Cassidy and Martina O'Brien. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Saturday and Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph's Church, Loch Lomond on Monday, May 16, 2005 at 11:00 AM. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery, Black River. Remembrances to the Devine Mercy Catholic School, St. Joseph's Church Building Fund or the New Brunswick Lung Association would be appreciated.
