Obituary of Arlington Willard Gill
GILL, Arlington Willard “Bud” Gill ? The death of Arlington “Bud” Gill, husband of the late Winnifred Mae (Hinsdale) Gill, of Saint John, NB, occurred on Sunday, June 19, 2005 at the age of 71, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Devon, NB, a son of the late Willard and Annie (Jones) Gill. Bud had been employed with Irving Oil as a furnace installer, then later with C.P. Rail as a locomotive engineer for thirty-three years. Arlington was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Carleton Union # 8 F. & A.M. For many years he has enjoyed his camp at Goshen, NB and later his trailer at Mohawk Park. Bud received a great amount of enjoyment from his feline friends. Survived by one brother, Merville (Gert) Gill of Red Head, NB; four sisters: Hilda Mills of Saint John, Geraldine Driscoll of Quispamsis, NB, Doreen (Richard) Boyer of Saint John and Judith (Robert) Jackson of Quispamsis; brother-in-law, Ronald Babineau; special caregiver, Marsha Saltzman; and ten nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, his wife and sister, Elaine Babineau. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506) 634-7424 with visiting on Tuesday and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will be held from Brenan's Chapel on Thursday, June 23, 2005 at 11 am. with interment following in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. A Masonic Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Wednesday Evening at 7 pm. Remembrances may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, The I.W.K. Hospital for Children, the Children's Cancer Ward at the Saint John Regional Hospital or a charity of the donor's choice.
