Obituary of Loreen Clara Kristiansen
The death of Loreen Clara Kristiansen of Saint John, occurred peacefully on Saturday, June 4, 2005 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. “Here I am Lord” was Loreen's answer when God gently called her home. Born in Saint John, she was the beloved daughter of the late Joseph and Genevieve (DesRoches) Kristiansen. Loreen was employed at the Lantic Sugar Refinery, Kauffman Furniture and Ruth Ross Residence. She was a devout Catholic and a member of Holy Trinity Parish for 70 years, a member of the Legion of Mary, the CWL and the Queen of Peace Prayer Group. She is survived by four sisters, Gertrude Gibson, Elsie McIntyre (John), both of Saint John, Kristiana LeBlanc of St. Sauveur, Quebec and Hyordis Driscoll (William) of Halifax, NS, two brothers, Karl Kristiansen of Saint John and Ralph Kristiansen (Donna) of Cold Lake, AB, 19 nieces and 15 nephews. She was predeceased by three sisters, Carmelita, Hazel and Louise and one brother, Francis (Frank). Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Monday and Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Trinity Church on Wednesday, June 8, 2005 at 12:00 Noon. Interment in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Remembrances to Holy Trinity Church Building Fund, Devine Mercy Catholic School or the charity of the donors' choice would be appreciated.
