Obituary of William A. Jennings

The death of Mr. William A. Jennings, of Red Head Road, Saint John, NB, husband of Frances (McEwen) Jennings, occurred on Sunday, March 02, 2003, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Cambridge, Massachusetts, he was the son of the late A. Preston and Elsie M. (Byers) Jennings. William was a member of the Church of the Ascension, Red Head, NB. He was employed at the Irving Oil Terminal. for eleven years then with the City of Saint John for many years where he was a member of Local # 18, Outside Workers. Besides his wife, he is survived by three sons, Roy (Helen) of Willow Grove, NB, Albert (Pamela) of Baxter's Corner, NB, and Ronald of Hamilton, ON, three daughters, June (Mrs. David Arsenault) of Chateauguay, PQ, Prudence (Mrs. Robert Steeves) of Gardeners Creek, and Laura (Mrs. Christopher Turner) of Kitchener-Waterloo, ON, two brothers, John (Eliza) of St. Stephen, NB, and Charles (Lauretta) of Grand Bay, as well as several grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and several nieces, and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Vincent in 1974 and a sister Elsie Archer. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, (506-634-7424) 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB, with visitation on Monday, 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 5, 2003 at 3:30 p.m from Brenan's Chapel. At Bill's request, following cremation, interment will take place in the family plot at the Church of the Good Shephard Cemetery, Manawagonish Rd.
