Obituary of Eleanor Matzen

The death of Eleanor (Lee) Matzen occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Sunday, April 13th, 2003, at the age of 70. Born in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Ida (Friars) Lee. Eleanor is survived by husband Gunther Bernhard Matzen; daughter Nancy Hoffman (LeRoy) of Saint John; two sisters: Dianne Schaefer (Robert) of Martinon and Marie Poirier (Gerald) of Saint John; two brothers: Donald Lee (Patricia) of Dipper Harbour and Gordon Lee of Vernon, BC; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by grandson Erich Christ; three sisters: Vivian and Connie Martin and Phyllis Allan; two brothers: Bobby and Edward Lee. Visitation will be held at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (506-634-7424), on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The service will be held at Brenan's Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, April 16th, 2003 at 2:15 PM. Interment will take place in Cedar Hill Extension.
