Obituary of Edith 'Mae' McLaughlin

The death of Edith 'Mae' McLaughlin, wife of Roy McLaughlin, occurred on October 7, 2003, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, December 25, 1923, she was one of the Mahaney Quadruples, of the late William Thomas and Lyda (Ocickle) Mahaney. She was employed with Lantic Sugar before her retirement. Besides her husband she is survived by her sons Danny McLaughlin of Saint John, Gary Bainbridge of Moncton, her daughters Valerie McNichol and her husband Murray of Saint John, Julie Rioux and her husband Donnie of Saint John, Colleen McLaughlin of Montreal, her sister Christine Ryan of Alberta, her five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter Patricia McCulley, five brothers and four sisters. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row (634-7424), with visiting on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 9, 2003, at 11:00AM , from Brenan's Chapel. Interment will take place at Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. Remembrances made to the Arthritis Society or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
