Obituary of George Frederick Stein
The death of George Frederick Stein, husband of Lillian (Albert) Stein, occurred on April 28, 2003, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Germany he was the son of the late Frederick N. and Elizabeth (Koning) Stein. He was employed as a foreman with Canada Packers Fertilizer Division for over 45 years. Besides his wife he is survived by his sons Percy (Marlene) of PEI, Raymond of Ottawa, Douglas (Glenda) of Sheet Harbour, NS, his daughters Jenny Mitchell of Saint John, Betty Ring (Robert) of Saint John, Donna Breau (Roger) of Hampton, Hilda Micholuk (Robert) of Calgary, Helen Stein (Joe) of Saint John, Shirley Stein of Saint John, Judy LeBlanc (Paul) of North Carolina, his daughter-in-law Georgie Stein of Saint John, his 34 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, , and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his infant son Junior Stein, his son Donald, his granddaughter Deborah Stein, his brother Hans and his sister Anna. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row (634-7424), with visiting on Tuesday from 7-9 PM and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 1, 2003, at 2:15 PM, from Brenan's Chapel. Interment will take place at Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. Remembrances made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
