Obituary of Ruth Elizabeth Gourlay

The death of Ruth Elizabeth Gourlay, formerly of Bloomfield, and of the Lakeview Manor, Riverview, NB, occurred on February 13, 2004, at her residence. Born in Saint John she was the daughter of the late Harry and Louise (DeBow) Baxter. She was employed until her retirement with the Department of Veteran's Affairs. She is survived by her nephew Jim Baxter and his wife Fran, of Moncton, and their daughters Jane and Susie, of Halifax. Her brother Harold S. Baxter and her niece Jane Baxter predeceased her. Although there will be no visiting, following cremation at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row (634-7424), the memorial service will be held on Thursday, February 19, 2004, at 1:00 PM, from Brenan's Chapel. Interment will take place at Fernhill Cemetery. Remembrances made to the Hampton Community Food Basket or the charity of choice would be appreciated.
