Obituary of Mary Janet Blanchard
The death of M. Janet Blanchard of Winter Street, Saint John, New Brunswick, occurred on January 30, 2004 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, New Brunswick, she was a daughter of the late Tony and Bertha (Theriault) Blanchard. Janet was a volunteer with several community groups in the City and a member of The Cathedral of The Immaculate Conception. Janet is survived by her son, Bill (Tara) Marr of Salisbury, NB; brothers Peter (Sandra) Gallant of Quispamsis, NB; Tony Blanchard of Ontario; Roger Blanchard; Corey Quinlan of Saint John, NB; sisters Shirley Blanchard of Ontario; Brenda Blanchard of Moncton NB; Kelly Ann (Stuart) Cochrane of Browns Flat, NB; Barbie Cachagee of South River, Ontario and Francine Smiley, one grandson, Riley Marr; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (506-634-7424) with visitation on Sunday, February 1, 2004 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at The Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception on Monday, February 2, 2004 at 12 noon followed by interment in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
