Obituary of Thomas Stobbart Kennedy
Kennedy, Thomas Stobbart The death of Thomas Stobbart Kennedy, husband of the late Eleanor L. (McAloney) Kennedy, of Sydney Street, Saint John, occurred on December 28, 2003, at the Scarborough General Hospital. Born in Montreal, PQ, he was the son of the late John Hubert Allan and Mary S. (Stobbart) Kennedy. During WW II he served with the LAC Airforce in Africa, the Mediterranean, Italy, Greece and England. He was a member of Trinity Anglican Church, the Lancaster Golden Service Club, the Westfield Golf Club, the Seniors Bowling League, and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion. He is survived by his son Blair Kennedy and his wife Brigitte of Scarborough, ON, his daughter Barbara McKenney (Bruce Paterson) of Saint John, his brother William Kennedy and his wife Katheleen of Ottawa, his grandchildren Scott (Patricia) and Beth McKenney, Thomas and Eric Kennedy, and several nieces and nephews. Following cremation visiting will be held on Sunday, January 4, 2004, from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row (634-7424), Saint John. The Royal Canadian Legion will hold a Tribute to a Veteran at 7:00 PM on Sunday. A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 5, 2004, at 11:00 AM from Brenan's Chapel. Interment will take place at Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. Remembrances made to Mind Care New Brunswick.
