Obituary of Annie P. Durie
The death of Mrs. Annie Potts Durie of Kennebec Manor, Saint John, NB, wife of the late George Anthony Durie, occurred on Monday, February 09, 2004 at her residence. She was born at Newtongrange, Scotland, daughter of the late Alexander and Harriet (Pitkethly) Renton. She had been employed with Royal Infirmary while in Edinburgh, Scotland and emigrated to Canada in 1980. She was a member of the United Church of Canada. She is survived by a son, George (Dorothy) Durie of Quispamsis, NB; three grandchildren, Elaine (Michael) Edgerton, Gillian (Paul) Newman, and Colin; and five nephews in Scotland. She was predeceased by her husband; a sister, Mary Jack; and a brother, Alexander Renton. Following cremation, visitation will take place on Wednesay at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB, (506-634-7424) from ll:00 a.m.- 1:00 p.m. The funeral service will take place in Brenan's Chapel at 1:00 p.m. Remembrances may be made to the charity of the donors' choice.
