Obituary of Margaret Cameron Hatfield
The death of Margaret Cameron (Fraser) Hatfield, resident of St. John & St. Stephen Church Nursing Home, wife of the late Herman R. Hatfield who passed away in 1994 in their 67th year of marriage, occurred on Monday, August 25, 2003. Born in Sherbrooke, NS, on June 4, 1904 she was the daughter of the late Christina (Murray) and Alfred W. Fraser. Margaret was a member of Germain St. United Baptist Church, were she was active in the Sunday school, Choir and Women's Missionary Society. She is survived by two daughters Norma and her husband William Bishop of Rothesay, Shirley and her husband John Hiltz of Shortt's Lake, NS. She is also survived by five grandchildren; Fraser Hiltz of Edmonton, AB; Sharon Riggs of Waverley, NS; Leslie Bierman of Longmont, Colorado; Andrew Bishop of Rothesay; Lorna Pond (Neil) of Quispamsis; nine great-grandchildren; two nieces and one cousin. By request there will be no visiting at the funeral home. A Memorial Service will be celebrated on Friday, August 29, 2003 from Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home Chapel 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506-634-7424) at 11:00 am. For those who wish remembrances may be made to Germain St. United Baptist Church or to the C.N.I.B.
