Obituary of Verna Jennene Parlee

The death of Verna Parlee occurred on Thursday, September 4, 2003 at her residence in Saint John, NB. Born in Saint John she was the daughter of the late Gordon & Blanche (McArthur) Garnett. Verna is survived by her daughters, Rhonda ”Susie” Meahan of Saint John and Tammy (Ralph) Balemans of Oak Point; two brothers, Lloyd (Sally) Garnett of Saint John and William (Jane) Garnett of Nova Scotia; one sister, Hazel Nantel of Saint John; six grandchildren, Rhonda, Michelle, and Knoll Meahan and Jason, Robin and Jaclyn Balemans; seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Verna was predeceased by her husband, Ronald; one brother, Harry; one sister, Ruby Baker and one great-grandchild, Kayla. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (506) 634-7424 with visiting on Saturday 7-9 pm and Sunday 2-4 pm with funeral service on Monday, September 8, 2003 at 10:00 am from Brenan's Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Ocean View Memorial Gardens. Donations to Extra-mural Program Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick or a charity of the donors choice would be appreciated by the family.
