Obituary of Margaret Lois Ellis

The death of Peggy Ellis of Latimore Lake Road, Saint John, NB, wife of the late George Edward Ellis, occurred on Friday, February 26th, 2004 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, NB, she was the daughter of the late William and Dorothy (Thomas) Quinn. Peggy worked for Sewell's Bakery, Municipal home, owned and operated Peggy's Grocery, was a Red Cross homemaker and always found time to be a very active member of All Saints Anglican Church. Peggy is survived by two daughters, Joan Wilson (David) of Cambridge, ON and Heather Ellis of Saint John, NB; one son, Lloyd Ellis (Heather) of Saint John, NB; three sisters, Irene Stephen of Saint John, NB, Barbara Smith of St. Martins, NB, and Marjorie Driscoll of Kingston, ON; two brothers, Michael Quinn (Florence) of Grand Bay-Westfield, NB and Noel Quinn (Susan) of Ottawa, ON; Six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one sister-in-law, Annie Dubee of Saint John, NB; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was also predeceased by three sisters, Pearl, Joan and Mary; and a brother, John. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (506) 634-7424, with visitation on Saturday from 7-9 pm and Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 1st, 2004 at All Saints Anglican Church, Upper Loch Lomond Road at 11:00 am. Interment will take place in Ocean View Memorial Gardens. For those who wish, donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
