Obituary of Ena Alice Donovan
The death of Miss Ena Alice Donovan, of 43 Clarendon St., Saint John, NB, occurred on Tuesday, February 11, 2003, at the Saint John Regional Hospital at the age of 94. Born in Fairville, NB, she was the daughter of the late James and Ellen (Mahoney) Donovan. Ena is survived by two sisters; Mrs. Dot Moore of Saint John, NB and Mrs. Mary Maloney of Montréal, PQ, nephews; Raymond (Bud) Jenkins of Saint John, NB, Michael Maloney of Almonte, Ont., and Margaret (Gary) Jackson of Pointe Claire, PQ, grand nephews; Patrick Jenkins of Saint John, NB, and William Jenkins of Edmonton, Alta., grand nieces; Suzanne (David) Hansen of Saint John, NB, Angela Jenkins, of Victoria, BC, and Beth Edens of Red Deer, Alta. She was predeceased by her sister Margaret (Donovan) Jenkins, brother James H. Donovan and nephew William Jenkins of Red Deer, Alta. Ena was an employee of Red Rose Tea Company for over 40 years. She was a member of St. Peter's CWL, St. Elizabeth's Society, St. Joseph's Hospital Auxiliary, she attended St. Peters Parish. Ena was a happy resident of Rocmaura Residence for the last six months. Many thanks to the staff of Rocmaura for their kindness. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506-634-7424), with visiting on Thursday from 7-9 p.m. and Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, February 15, 2003, at 10:00 a.m., from St. Peter's Church, Clarendon Street. Interment will take place at St. Joseph's Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to the charity of the donors' choice. www.brenansfh.com
