Obituary of Kenneth Malcolm Osborne

It is with great sadness that the family of Kenneth Malcolm Osborne announces his death on Sunday, January 26, 2003, at the Saint John Regional Hospital after a brief illness. Ken was the loving and giving husband of Charlene (nee Weare) whom he helped and depended upon equally. He was the adored father of Charlene, Tanya, and Elaine, who were the pride of his life; the worshipped grampy of James Lowe, Cheyenne Osborne, and Charles Joseph Osborne who brought great joy to his life. Ken was the cherished brother of Cynthia McGuire (Pat), Elizabeth Dugay (Donald), Danny Osborne (Cindy Arbeau) and Angus Osborne (Angela). Above all, Ken was the treasured son of Marion (Malcolm) and Joseph A. Osborne, whom he dearly loved and respected. He was the beloved brother-in-law of Arthur Weare (Pat), Barbara Shaw (Bill), Lynda Hargreaves (Alfred), Pat White (George), and Diane Carmichael (the late Hoagy). He will be sadly missed by his friends and co-workers at the Irving Pulp and Paper Mill, where he was employed for 28 years, and by his aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews. This is a great loss to the many special friends whom Ken treated as family. Ken was predeceased by his paternal grand-parents Charles and Elizabeth Osborne; his maternal grand-parents Kenneth and Ada Malcolm; uncles Charles Osborne and Bernard Osborne and his cousin Grace Walton Osborne. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Monday 7-9 PM and Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Cathedral of Immaculate Conception on Wednesday, January 29, 2003, at 12:00 Noon. Following cremation, interment will take place at St. Joseph's Cemetery. Remembrances to the charity of the donors choice would be appreciated by the family. www.brenansfh.com
