Obituary of Anne E. MacLellan
The death of Anne E. MacLellan, wife of the late Allister MacLellan occurred Thursday, January 1, 2004 at the Saint John Regional Hospital surrounded by her family. Born in Plymouth, NS, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Beatrice (Vacheresse) MacBeath. Anne was a member of St. Andrew and St. David's Church, the Church Guild and also of the IODE. She was an enthusiastic member of World Vision sponsoring many children in her lifetime. She lived part of her life in the Pictou County area of Nova Scotia with her husband before moving to Saint John. Her life was centered around her family and friends. She passed her love on by cooking for everyone and was always there for those in need. Anne is survived by one son Peter MacLellan (Patricia), Bedford, NS, three daughters Allison Homer (Gordon), Quispamsis, NB, Beanne Black (Ralph), Saint John, NB, Deborah MacLellan (David Meneghello), Prague, Czech- Rep., one brother Victor MacBeath (Shirley), Stellarton, NS, nine grandchildren Marc Carey, Kelly and Kandace Homer, Kimberley McGinnis, Julie MaGee, Kristal Kindred, Heather and Alicia MacLellan and Anthony Desmond, seven great grandchildren Matthew and Brayden McGinnis, Emma, Maddy and Kelty Carey, Brett and Asha McGee. She is predeceased by her first husband Stephen Bird, one son Charles V. MacLellan, and one brother Gilbert MacBeath. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row (634-7424), with visiting on Friday 2-4,7-9 PM, Saturday 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM. Funeral will be held Saturday, January 3, 2004 at St. Andrew and St. David's Church, 164 Germain Street, Saint John, at 1:30 PM, interment to follow in Ocean View Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate remembrances to Muscular Dystrophy Association, Canadian Diabetes Association, Heart and Stroke Foundation, or donors choice.
