It is with heavy hearts the family of Captain Bruno Verreault announce his passing on March 24, 2019, at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John, NB. Born in Les Méchins, QC, he was the son of the late Irenée and Jeanne-Aimée (nee Langlois) Verreault.
He worked for Irving (Atlantic Towing) for over 35 years and was captain of many different tugs. He was also a member of the Legion Branch 69.
He is mourned by his nephews: Claude (Nicole), Carol (Jocelyn R.) and Allain; his nieces: Claudette, Denise, Jovette, and Jocelyn; his grand nephews: Stéphane, Marie Claude, Frédéric, Hendrick, Marie-Pierre and Yan; and one cousin: Françoise.
Besides his parents, Bruno was predeceased by his wife: Anita Marie (nee Westhaver); his sister, Renée-Jeanne; his brothers: Valaire, Bernard, Boromé, and Raynel; as well as one nephew: Mario (Martine).
Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424). with visitation on Thursday, March 28, 2019 from 2PM – 4PM and 6PM–8PM. A veteran service will take place at 7PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 360 Dufferin Row, Saint John, on Friday, March 29, 2019 at 12:00 PM Noon. Burial will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made a charity of the donor’s choice. Online condolences may be placed at www.BrenansFH.com

C’est avec une grande tristesse, que nous annonçons le décès du Capitaine Bruno Verreault, à L’Hopital Régionale de Saint-Jean, N.-B., le dimanche, 24 mars 2019. Né à Les Méchins, QC., il était le fils de feu Irenée et de feu Jeanne-Aimée (née Langlois) Verreault.
Il travaillait pour Irving (Atlantic Towing) depuis environ 35 ans, et il était capitaine de differentes remorqueurs. Il était aussi un membre du Légion Branche 69.
Il laisse dans le deuil ses neveux: Claude (Nicole), Carol (Jocelyn R.) et Allain; ses nieces: Claudette, Denise, Jovette, et Jocelyn; ses petits neveux: Stéphane, Marie Claude, Frédéric, Hendrick, Marie-Pierre, et Yan; et une cousine: Françoise.
Outre ses parents, son épouse, feu Anita Marie (née Westhaver); sa soeur, feu Renée-Jeanne; ses frères: feu Valaire, feu Bernard, feu Boromé, et feu Raynel; ainsi qu’un neveu, feu Mario (Martine).
Les visites auront lieu à la Maison funéraire Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, (634-7424), le jeudi 28 mars, de 14h - 16h et 18h - 20h avec un service hommage vétéran à 19h. La messe des funérailles aura lieu en l’église Our Lady of the Assumption, 360 Dufferin Row, Saint-Jean, le vendredi 29 mars 2019, à 12h (midi). L’inhumation se fera au Cimetière Holy Cross, Saint-Jean à une date ultérieure. Des dons a une œuvre de bienfaisance de votre choix serait apprécié par la famille.
