Obituary of Ruby Jean Lewis
The death of Mrs. Ruby Jean Lewis of King Richard Drive, Quispamsis, NB, wife of Roy C. Lewis, occurred on Wednesday, March 3, 2004 after a period of failing health at Saint John Regional Hospital. Born at Alma, PEI, she was a daughter of the late Preston Allan and Dorothy (Clarke) Clark. She was formerly employed as a nursing assistant at Loch Lomond Villa for a number of years before retirement. Ruby was a member of the United Church of Canada and the Orange Lodge of Saint John East. Surviving besides her husband, Roy, is a son, Ron Lewis (Nadine) and their children, Kristin and Kyle of Quispamsis; a daughter, Kim and her son, Matthew of Quispamsis; two brothers, Wayne (Marlene) Clark of Calgary, Alta and Donald (Pauline) Hardy of PEI; two sisters, Helen Phillips (Ralph Richard) and Joy (Fred) London, all of Saint John; sisters-in-law, Noreen (Melvin) Getchell of St. Stephen and Joyce (Ed) Tonge of Naples, Florida; and several nephews and nieces. Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home Chapel, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB, (506-634-7424) on Monday at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place at Ocean View Memorial Gardens at a later date. Remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of the donors' choice.
