Obituary of John Ritchie Morrison
The death of John Ritchie Morrison of Saint John, NB, husband of Helen (Rinehart) Morrison, occurred on Tuesday, March 23, 2004 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Scotland, Great Britain, son of the late George and Elizabeth (Ritchie) Morrison, John had served in the Air Force in World War II with the rank of Warrant Officer at the time of discharge. He had been employed with the New Brunswick Community College as an Instructor in Heavy Equipment Repair and had been a member of the Air Force Association, a Life Member of Jervis Bay Legion, Past Chancellor of the Knights of Pythias, the NBSCF, the St. Andrew's Society, Shriners and St. James Anglican Church Choir, Lakewood, NB. Survived by his wife. Predeceased by three brothers, George Morrison, Peter Morrison and Bill Morrison; and one sister, Lena Cuthberson. Funeral Arrangements are under the direction of Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506) 634-7424. At the family's request there will be no visiting at the Funeral Home. Friends and relatives will meet at Fernhill Cemetery for a Graveside service on Friday, March 26, 2004 at 2:30 pm. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick or a charity of the donor's choice.
