Obituary of Philip E Barthelot
The death of Mr. Philip E. Barthelot Sr. of Paddock St., Saint John, NB husband of the late Helen (Power) Barthelot, occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Monday, December 15, 2003. He was born in Quebec in 1922. Philip was an adherent of the Church of St. John and St. Stephen. He served as a Gunner in the 22nd. Field Battery Artillery. One of Philip's greatest passions in life was fishing. He had many fond memories fishing at Pugsley Wharf, Musquash and Lily Lake. Philip is survived by seven children, all of Saint John, NB: Philip Jr. (Sybil), David, Wayne, Barbara (Mrs. Bill Knox), Phyllis (Mrs. Glen Lynch), Diane (Mrs. Gary Yeo), and Rose (Mrs. Wayne Richards) as well as 22 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by several siblings. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (506-634-7424) with visitation on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral will be held from Brenan's Chapel Thursday, December 18, 2003 at 1:00 p.m., interment to follow in Fernhill Cemetery. Remembrances to the Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
