Obituary of Charles Edward Palmer
Palmer, C. Edward - The last surviving member of his immediate family the death of Mr. Charles Edward Palmer, husband of the late Jean (Clark) Palmer occurred on Friday, July 4, 2003 at the Ridgewood Veterans Wing. Born in Saint John he was the son of the late Gerald and Agnes (Curran) Palmer. Edward was a veteran of WWII and served in the Army overseas, he was employed in sales with Hamilton Biscuit, caretaker of St. Peter's Church, graduated from St. Vincent's High School. He is survived by one son Brian of California, two daughters Lynne (Brian) O'Leary of Saint John and Marlene (Jack) Jeffers of Rothesay, seven grandchildren Tiffany, Brenda, Scott, Sara, Ryan, Haily and Carly, several nieces and nephews. Besides his wife and parents he was predeceased by five brothers Gerald, William, Leonard, Joseph and Ernest, two sisters Margaret and Kathleen. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506-634-7424) with visiting on Monday, July 7, 2003 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 8, 2003 from St. Peter's Church at 10:00 AM. Interment will be held in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Alzheimer Society of Saint John. There will be R.C.L. Tribute Service on Monday, July 7, 2003 at 7: 30 PM.
