Obituary of Loretta Margaret Brown
The death of Mrs. Loretta Margaret Brown, of Rocmaura Nursing Home, Saint John, wife of the late Harold Brown, occurred on Tuesday, January 28, 2003, at her residence. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Born in Saint John, on April 2, 1912, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Catherine (Goodine) Joyce. Mrs. Brown was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Women's League and St. Joseph's Hospital Auxiliary. She is survived by her children, Gordon (Betty) of Sussex Corner, Mary Powers (Paddy) of Raynham, Mass., Joyce Bugg (Chuck) of Camrose, AB, Patricia Brown of Saint John, Ronald of Big Cove, Phyllis McGrath (Allen) of Saint John, Margaret Conway of Saint John, Frederick (Catherine) of Saint John, Harold (Elaine) of Saint John, Michael (Sandra) of Quispamsis, Linda Brown of Toronto, ON, Catharine Coes (Donald) of Quispamsis and Geraldine O'Hara (Donald) of Saint John, sister-in-law, Blanche Joyce, 24 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by grandsons, Kevin Brown and Richard Jack, one sister and eight brothers. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Pius X Church on Thursday, January 30, 2003 at 11:00 AM. Interment in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
