Obituary of Victor Garnet McLean
The death of Victor Garnet McLean of 26 Montgomery Crescent, Saint John, husband of Audrey (Adams) McLean, occurred on Thursday, June 5, 2003, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, he was the son of the late Arthur and Hazel (Jenkins) McLean. Mr. McLean was an Industrial Mechanic with Irving Paper for 25 years, before his retirement. Prior to working with Irving Paper he was employed with Metropolitan Life Insurance. He was an avid hunter and a former member of the Saint John City and District Dart League, member of the Adanac Club and was a 50 year member of the Royal Canadian Legion. Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Robert W. (Diane) of Saint John and Mark A. (Janet) of Willow Grove, two daughters, Nancy A. Estabrooks (Robert) of Saint John and Lorna J. Hargrove (Bradley) of Rothesay, one sister, Helen O'Neil (James) of Saint John, six grandchildren, Ross and Robyn McLean, Bradley and David Estabrooks, Donald McLean and Adam Hargrove, mother-in-law, Margaret Adams of Saint John and several cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one son, Donald and one brother Clement. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Friday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Pius X Church on Saturday, June 7, 2003 at 10:00 AM. Interment in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Remembrances to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick, the Saint John Boy's and Girl's Club or the charity of the donors choice would be appreciated.
