Obituary of Nenita L. Politico

The death of Nenita L. Politico, of 310 Woodward Avenue, Saint John, occurred unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 3, 2003, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Manila, Philippines, she was the daughter of the late Inocencio and Esperanza (Lacerna) Politico. Nenita was a School Teacher in the Philippines for many years, before moving to Canada, where she taught for over 20 years before retiring from M. Gerald Teed Memorial School in 1993. She enjoyed extensive travel especially on the Queen Elizabeth II. She is survived by one brother, Dr. Jovencio “Ben” Politico (Zenen) of Phoenix, AZ, one sister, Evelina Guzman (Dr. Roger Guzman) of Saint John, nieces Rolyne Butler (Mike) and their children, Michael and Sarah Butler, Roevel Guzman, Jeanette Johnson, Josie, Abboud, Joan Politico, Karen Politico, Shirley Politico and Jennifer Politico, nephews, Carl Politico and Jeffrey Politico, several grand nieces and nephews and many relatives in the Philippines. By request there will be no visiting at the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Cathedral of Immaculate Conception on Friday, June 6, 2003 at 12:00 Noon. Interment in St. Joseph's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers remembrances to the Saint John Regional Hospital Dialysis Unit would be appreciated. The family would like to thank the Staff of the Saint John Regional Hospital Dialysis Unit for their care and kindness over the past year.
