Obituary of Raymond Gerald DeVeau
The sad and unexpected death of Gerald DeVeau of St Martins, NB., occurred November 15, 2003. Gerald was the son of Josephine (Bennett) DeVeau and the late Sherman DeVeau. Gerald was a carefree fellow who loved anything related to the sea, boats and fishing. Gerald was a member of Legion Branch 63 Dart Club. He will truly be missed by his many friends and family. Gerald is survived by four brothers Lee of Sundry, AB., Paul of St Martins, NB., Alfred of Sundry, AB., and Stephen (Cindy) Bains Corner, NB., six uncles Donald, Kenneth, Edward and Leslie Bennett and Hazen and Leo DeVeau, four aunts Gwen Hazelwood, Winnifred Saunders, Barbara Bennett and Shirley Raaflaub, niece Kaitlyn and nephew Brandon DeVeau, grandparents Gregory and Jessie Bennett, several cousins, great aunts and uncles. He is predeceased by his father Sherman, grandmother Frieda Bennett, uncle Leonard De Veau and grandparents Alfred and Gertrude DeVeau. Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row (634-7424) in charge of arrangements. Visiting will be held in the First St Martins United Baptist Church on Wednesday 2-4, 7-9 pm. Funeral will be on Thursday, November 20, 2003, at 2:00 pm, with interment to follow in the St Martins Community Cemetery. Remembrances to the Cancer Society, N.B. Heart and Stroke Foundation, Kidney Foundation, First St Martins United Baptist Church or donors choice would be appreciated by the family.
