Obituary of Grace Eileen Rattray

The death of Grace 'Eileen' Rattray, beloved wife of the late Alexander Rattray, formerly of Kilburn Avenue, occurred on June 27, 2003, at the Kennebec Manor. Born at L'Etete, NB, she was the daughter of the late William J. and Bertha (Stewart) Matthews. She was a long time member of Edith Avenue Baptist Church. She was the precious mother of Eleanor Medford, of Quispamsis, and was the cherished grandmother of Scott and John Medford. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her infant daughter Elizabeth Ruth, her son-in-law Law Medford, her brother Stewart Matthews, and her sisters Bessie Matthews and Elva Matthews. At the family's request there will be no visiting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row (634-7424). A private funeral service will be held from Brenan's Chapel followed by interment at Ocean View Memorial Gardens. Remembrances made to the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation, Edith Avenue Baptist Church or the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
