Obituary of Sharon Rosalie Reicker
The death of Sharon Rosalie Reicker of Saint John, NB, occurred on Tuesday, February 18, 2003 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, Sharon is the daughter of Marven Reicker and Bernice (Langille) Collins. Sharon had received her Teachers Diploma from the Fredericton Teachers College, and her Business Degree from the University of New Brunswick, Saint John Campus. She was formerly employed as a teacher in Penobsquis and had worked at Nova Scotia Telephone and Telegraph. Most recently, Sharon had been employed with NB Tel. Sharon was a very active member of Portland United Church. She enjoyed knitting. Sharon is survived by her son, Matthew of Saint John, her mother, Bernice Collins, her father, Marven Reicker and his wife, Evelyn, a brother, Wayne (DesNeiges) Reicker of Nauwigewauk, NB, and step-brother, Gene Collins of Gondola Point, as well as several step-brothers and step-sisters, several cousins, two nieces, Michelle and Christina Reicker, and a great-niece, Kristen Reicker. She was predeceased by her step-father, Joseph Collins. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB, (506) 634-7424, with visitation on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be hale on Friday, February 21, 2003 at 2:30 PM from Brenan's Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will take place at Fernhill Cemetery.
