Obituary of Victor Frederick Brewster
The death of Victor Frederick Brewster of 95 Leinster Street, Saint John, NB occurred on Thursday, April 1, 2004 at St. Joseph's Hospital. Born in Halifax, NS on September 14, 1919, he was the son of the late Harold and Sophie (Smith) Brewster. He resided in Saint John since the age of seven. He attended Centennial School on Prince Edward Street. He had been employed with the I.L.A., C.N.R. and other labour jobs until retiring in 1983. He was a seventy-five year member of Central Baptist Church and had once been a member of the Church Basketball Team. He is survived by one sister, Harriet (Ted) Follows of Hamilton, On; one half-sister, Minnie Perry of Dartmouth, NS; and family friend, Betty Sparks of Saint John. He was predeceased by brothers, Harold and William and a sister, Annie. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506) 634-7424 with visitation on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held from Brenan's Chapel on Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. Interment will take place in Oakridge Memorial Gardens, Lower Sackville, NS. Remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of the donors' choice.
