Obituary of Wilfreda Hogan
The death of Mrs. Wilfreda (Shears) Hogan of Saint John, wife of the late Stewart Alfred Hogan occurred on Saturday, March 1, 2003 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Willow Grove on April 11, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Wilfred and Levina (McIntyre) Shears. Wilfreda loved her family and she lived for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was always very dedicated to helping people. She is survived by four sons, Stewart, Timothy, Eric, and Vincent, four daughters, Lorna (John), Julia (Sam), Starlene (Rick), and Mary Ann (Marcel), four sisters, Paulina Hogan, Marjorie Robinson, Vona (Randolph) Hope, and Winnifred (Roy) MacDonald, many grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, her brothers, Hedley, Winslow, Leslie, James, Levi, Simon, Donald, Ronald, and Ford, and her sisters, Mary, Laura, Ruby, Velma, Adelia, Anita, and Dorothy. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (506) 634-7424, with visitation on Tuesday from 7-9 PM and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 6, 2003 at 2:15 PM from Brenan's Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will take place at Ocean View Memorial Gardens. Remembrances to the Canadian Cancer Society or the New Brunswick Lung Association would be appreciated. www.brenansfh.com
