Obituary of Doris Irene Cochrane

The death of Doris Irene Cochrane, wife of the late Harry O. Cochrane, occurred on May 17, 2003, at her residence, the Loch Lomond Villa. She was born at Sussex Corner in 1913. She resided in East Saint John for 40 years before moving to Welsford, NB, in 1961. In latter years she resided with her daughter, Vesta, in Grand Bay-Westfield before moving to the Loch Lomond Villa. She enjoyed crocheting, embroidery, and sewing and was known for her good cooking. She is survived by her daughter Vesta Garfield of Grand Bay-Westfield, her step-son Willard (Lorraine) Cochrane of Sussex Corner, her sister-in-law Margaret Cochrane of Grimsby, ON, her grandson Will (Sheri) Garfield of Grand Bay-Westfield, granddaughter Debbie (Richard) Kenny of Saint John, step-granddaughter Laura (Robert) Nyenhuis of California, Debbie and Jennie Ferrar of Saint John, Kristin and Jaylee Garfield of Grand Bay-Westfield, great-grandson Jonathan Nyenhuis of California, and several cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her infant great-grandson Edward Michael. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row (634-7424), with visiting on Sunday from 7-9 PM and Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 20, 2003, at 11:00 AM, from Brenan's Chapel. Interment will take place at Browns Flat United Church Cemetery. Remembrances made to the Grand Bay-Westfield Fire and Ambulance Service, the Loch Lomond Villa or charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated.
