Obituary of Aileen E. Tamburini
The death of Aileen E. (Olver) (MacLean) Tamburini of Saint John, NB, wife of the late Mario Tamburini, occurred on Wednesday, April 28th, 2004 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Musquash, NB, she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Grace (Shepherd) Olver. She was employed by the province of NB Education Dept. at the East Saint John School until her retirement in 1987, she was also previously employed by McAvity's and Swift Canada. Aileen was the past president of Simonds Lioness Club, and also the past president of I.O.D.E. She was a member of the Royal Canadian Air Force Association, 250 Wing and enjoyed volunteering at Loch Lomond Villa. She was also an active lay reader at St. Joachim's Church. Aileen is survived her daughters: Louise (James) Carson, Josee Holland and Marie (Robert) McKillop, all of Saint John, NB. Grandchildren: Marcie, Jeffrey and Shelley Holland, Chantal and P.J. Carson, and one brother, Robert (Eileen) Olver of Edmonton,AB. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, she is predeceased by her first husband, Gordon “Buddy” MacLean, and her sisters: Mary Olver, Pauline Beck and Iris Drew. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (506-634-7424), with visitation on Thursday 7-9PM and Friday, 2-4 and 7-9PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, May 1st, 2004 at 10:00AM from St. Joachim's Church, 603 Loch Lomond Rd, Saint John, NB. Interment will take place in Fernhill Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
