Obituary of Albert Edward Little

Albert Edward (Ted) Little, loving husband of Jeanne Elizabeth (Kelly) Little was called home to God on Sunday, February 23, 2003, after a long and courageous battle against an unrelenting foe. Born in 1919, at Saint John, he was the son of the late Harry S. and Lida Little. Ted had been employed with Thornes Hardware for 39 years, from where he retired. He was a member of St. Mary and St. Bartholomew's Church, where he was a long serving warden and vestry member. A loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather, he will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Besides his wife of 55 years, he is survived by three sons, Peter (Donna) of Quispamsis, Darrell (Christine) of Rothesay, NB, and Stephen (Adriana) of St. Laurent, Quebec, one daughter, Lori (Ray Coleman) of Saint John, NB, nine grandchildren, Michael, Stephen, David, Sarah, Joseph, and Alex Little, Nicholas, Matthew, and Ryan Coleman, as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family, having been predeceased by six brothers, Roy Little, Eldon Masson, Wesley Masson, Charles Little, Joseph Little, and Donald Little, three sisters, Mollie Woods, Lida Gibson, and Isabelle Beattie, and a son, David Glenn in 1954. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (506) 634-7424, with visitation on Tuesday from 7-9 PM and Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 27, 2003 at 2:30 PM from St. Mary and St. Bartholomew's Anglican Church, 648 Westmorland Road. Interment will take place at Fernhill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, remembrances to the St. Mary and St. Bartholomew's Church (Paving Fund), the Alzheimer's Society, or to the charity of the donor's choice would be greatly appreciated by the family. www.brenansfh.com
