Obituary of Alice Mae Binding
The death of Alice Mae Binding, wife of the late Trevor (Tex) Binding, occurred on December 23, 2003, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John she was the daughter of the late Wellington and Willa (Wood) Green. She served during WW II with the Royal Canadian Navy. She was employed with the Saint John Dry Dock before her retirement. She was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 64 and was an avid Bingo player. She is survived by her daughter Elizabeth (Bette) Cardozo of Saint John her step-daughters Sherry and her husband Barry Belyea of Saint John, Carol and her husband Keith Bovaird of Havelock, ON, her brother Leonard Green of Newcastle, NB, her sisters Tessie Clark of Quispamsis, Evelyn and her husband Eugene Haines of Saint John, her grandchildren Tracey Butch and Trevor Harris of Sussex, her great-grandchildren Krystal and Kristopher of Sussex and several cousins, nieces and nephews. Her brothers Frank and Dougie Green predeceased her. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row (634-7424), with visiting on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The Royal Canadian Legion will hold a Tribute to a Veteran Service at 7:00 PM on Friday. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2003, at 11:00 AM, from Brenan's Chapel. Interment will take place at Ocean View Memorial Gardens. Remembrances made to the Parkinson Society of Canada or the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
