Obituary of Phyllis Evelyn Crawford
The death of Phyllis E. Crawford of Wilton Street, Saint John East, wife of the late Donis Alexander Crawford occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Monday, January 5, 2004. Born at Salt Springs, Kings Co., NB daughter of the late Charles Lemuel and Edith Maud (Ireland) Lackie. Phyllis graduated from the Sussex High School and the Provincial Normal School and had taught in Poodiac, Hammond Vale, Collina, Saint John, Rothesay and Quispamsis Schools before retiring in 1982; a member of All Saints Anglican Church, Park Ave and the ACW; a member of the Retired Teachers Association District 19 and the Simonds Lions Senior Citizens Club. Predeceased by her half-sister Audrey Lackie and is survived by several nephews and nieces. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506) 634-7424 with visiting on Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will be held from All Saints Anglican Church, Park Ave. on Thursday, January 8, 2004 at 11 am. Interment will take place at River Bank Cemetery in the spring. Remembrances may be made to the All Saints Anglican Church, the Parkinson Foundation or to a charity of the donor's choice.
