Obituary of Murray E. Fowler
After a lengthy illness Murray Elmer Fowler formerly of Brittain Road, Nerepis, NB, husband of the late Jean (McGilligan) Fowler, passed away in the presence of his family on April 23, 2004 at the Ridgewood Veteran's Wing. Born in Millstream, NB, he was the son of the late Frederick and Alice (Douthwright) Fowler. Murray had served in France, Holland and Germany with the Second Anti-Tank Regiment for four years during WWII. He was employed for 32 years at Irving Pulp and Paper as an oiler. Murray is survived by one son, Gerald (Joanne) of Lakeville Corner; three daughters, Judith (Kenneth) Cogswell of Newmarket, NB, Terry Lee (Gerald) Carr and Linda (Gary) Kingston both of Grand Bay, NB; one daughter-in-law, Janet (Michael) Fowler; twelve grandchildren, three great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Besides his wife and parents, he was predeceased by two sons, infant son Tony and Michael; two sisters, Mildred Cameron and Elsie Tait; three brothers, Gilbert, Raymond and Gordon. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506-634-7424) with visiting on Saturday, April 24 from 7-9 pm and Sunday, April 25, 2004 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held from Brenan's Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, April 26, 2004 at 2:15 pm. Interment will be held in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
