Obituary of Alice Marie Brown

The death of Alice Marie Brown of Kennebec Manor Nursing Home, Saint John, wife of the late Isaac Brown, occurred on Friday, April 9, 2004 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late George and Georgina (McFarlane) Laird. Mrs. Brown and her husband, Isaac, owned and operated a lunch counter in the City Market for many years. She is survived by six sisters, Jane Osborne of Saint John, Margaret Bannister of Toronto, ON, Eileen Sullivan, Effie Martin, Edna Sullivan and Ruth Thompson, all of Saint John, many nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by brothers, Percy, James and George and sisters, Ada, Mary, Georgina and Ann. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Monday and Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A private family funeral service will be held at Brenan's Funeral Home Chapel. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery. Remembrances to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick would be appreciated.
