Obituary of Hilda Louise Marr
Marr, Hilda Louise … The death of Hilda Louise Marr of Saint John, NB, wife of the late Alfred W. Marr, occurred on Wednesday, February 13, 2008 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John on January 14, 1918, she was a daughter of the late William and Annie (Bannister) Maher. Hilda had been employed with Dominion Stores, Sears Ltd. and retired from NBLC. Survived by her campanion of many years, Harry Campbell of Saint John; three daughters: Donna Henderson of Rothesay, NB, Gloria “Tudy” (Adrien) LeFrancois of St. Martins, NB and Deeda (Murray) Trecartin) of Saint John; a son, Murray (Geraldine) Marr of Grand Bay … Westfield, NB; fourteen grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband she was predeceased by a son, Norman Marr; a grandson, Jodie Marr; four sisters: Marion McKiel, Helen Rowan, Mildred Klaas and Lorna Wilson and a brother, Donald Maher. Resting at Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506) 634-7424. By Hilda’s request there will not be any visiting or funeral service at the funeral home; a graveside service will be held on Monday, February 18, 2008 at 2 pm in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery.
