Obituary of Doreen Mary Bourque
Bourque, Doreen Mary – The unexpected passing of Doreen Bourque, wife of the late Gerard “Gerry” Bourque of Ellerdale Street, Saint John East, NB occurred on Monday, July 16, 2007 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Doreen was born in Saint John on April 14, 1931 a daughter of the late Alphonse and Annie (Cyr) Arsenault. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Parish, devoted to her family and enjoyed playing bingo. Survived by five sons: Ronald (Roberta) of Rothesay, NB, Edgar (Corrine), Gerald (Louise) and Darrell, all three of Saint John and Mark (Freda) of Rothesay; nine daughters: Janice (Leroy) Dukeshire of Saint John, Carol (Leonard) Carvell of the Kingston Peninsula, Linda (Raymond “Moe”) Myers of Saint John West, Deborah (Donald) Snodgrass of Willow Grove, NB, Diane (Dan) McIntyre of Saint John, Jean, Cindy (Dennis) and Theresa (Rick), all three of Saint John and Darlene (Kenny) McFarlane of Sussex, NB; two sisters: Shirley Logan of Saint John and Donna (Greg) Butcher of Upper Golden Grove, NB; 38 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Doreen was predeceased by her husband, Gerry in October, 2000; two sons: Wayne and Allan; one grandson, Noel; two brothers, George and Ronnie and five sisters: Verlyne, Rhona, Linda, Joan and Anne Marie. Doreen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she will be sadly missed by all. Resting at Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424) with visitation on Wednesday and Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Holy Trinity Church, Rockland Road, Saint John on Friday, July 20, 2007 at 12 noon. Interment will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation of NB, Canadian Cancer Society or the Children’s Wish Foundation or the charity of the donor’s choice.
