Obituary of Mabel Mary Byrne
The death of Mabel Mary Byrne, wife of the late William Byrne, occurred on August 29, 2007 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John she was the daughter of the late Dosithe and Jane (Allain) Thibodeau. She was a member of St. Pius X Parish and was a member of the Society of St. Theresa of the Child Jesus and the Society of the Infant of Prague. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother being survived by her son William and his wife Judy of Quispamsis, her daughter Barbara Johnston of Saint John, her sister-in-law Mildred Loubier, grandchildren Deborah Vienneau (Paul), David Johnston (Ann), Wendy Johnston (Ray), Bethany Johnston (Dee Anne), Lori Simmonds (Greg), Jason Byrne (Natasha), Jill McGinn (Mark), Kelly DeBruyn (Mark), Adam Byrne (Mary), 13 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Her son-in-law William Johnston predeceased her. Resting at Brenans Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row (634-7424), with visitng on Thursday and Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, at 10:00 am, from St. Pius X Church. Interment at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Remembrances to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
