Obituary of Harold Edward Haggerty
Haggerty, Harold Edward … The family of Harold Edward Haggerty of Saint John, NB, husband of Helen (McKenzie) Haggerty, is saddened to announce his passing on Friday, January 18, 2008 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Pocologan, NB on June 22, 1937, son of the late Everett and Hazel (Williams) Haggerty. Harold was a retired electrician having worked with IBEW Local 502 and continued with the Employee Assistance Program and he was an avid fisherman. Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons: David (Wendy) Thomas of Moncton, NB and Michael Haggerty of Ottawa, ON; two daughters: Ruby Guitard (Dan Morin) of Belleville, ON and Tammy Haggerty of Richibucto, NB; two brothers: Ernest of Pocologan and Ralphie (Martha Mattatall) of Dartmouth, NS; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a sister, Elizabeth and a nephew, Jimi Haggerty. Resting at Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home. 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506) 634-7424 with visiting on Saturday from 7-9 pm and Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will be held from Brenan’s Chapel on Monday, January 21, 2008 at 11 am. Interment will be in Newcastle, NB at a later date. Remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Palliative Care Unit of the Saint John Regional Hospital or any charity of choice.
