Obituary of George Alfred LeBlanc
LeBlanc, George Alfred – The death of George Alfred “Chickie” LeBlanc of Saint John, NB, husband of the late Ruth (Cruickshank) LeBlanc, occurred on Sunday, December 30, 2007 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John he was a son of the late Frederick Albert and Alvina (Robichaud) LeBlanc. George had been employed as a salesperson with Vachon and was an avid bowler. Survived by brothers: Gerald LeBlanc of the Kingston Peninsula, NB and Francis (Sylvia) LeBlanc of Toronto, ON; sisters: Eileen (Larry) Brooks of Quispamsis, NB and Amelia Perry of Saint John; brothers-in-law: Frederick “Ned” Landry, William Cruickshank and Leslie (Valerie) Cruickshank; sister-in-law, Norma Breen and many loving nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his wife and parents; brother, Clarence “Kay” LeBlanc and sisters: Mary Elward, Celina Landry and Emeline Hayward. Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506) 634-7424 with visiting on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Memorial Service will be held from Brenan’s Chapel on Thursday, January 3, 2008 at 11 am. Interment will be in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. IN lieu of flowers remembrances made to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
