Obituary of Lillian Mary Richards
Richards, Lillian Mary – While surrounded by her loving family, the death of Lillian “Lil” Mary Richards, wife of Vincent Richards of 194 Anglin Dr., Saint John, NB, occurred on Tuesday, July 17, 2007, at her residence, the Loch Lomond Villa. Born at Litchfield, NS, she was a daughter of the late Freedman and Laura. M. (Bailey) Peters. She was a former active member of St. James Anglican Church, Broad Street, Anglin Drive Tenants Assoc., PRUDE Inc. Seniors and had been employed with the Admiral Beatty Hotel, NB Protestant Orphanage, McCready’s Pickle Factory, Coca-Cola, Calp’s Department Store and Greens Nursing Home. Lillian is survived by her husband, Vincent; three sons: Mark A. (Cathy) of Ketepec, NB, Vincent R. “Randy” (Ruth Ann) of Saint John, Frank R. of Saint John; three daughters: Dianne Jones (Charles) of St. Peters, Missouri, Debra Hooper (Kevin) of Saint John, Lisa Richards (Philip) of Moncton, NB; one brother, Walter “Bubbles” (Nancy) Peters of Orleans, ON; two sisters: Dora Barton of Litchfield, NS, Matilda Francis of Lequille, NS; 15 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her brothers, John & Bill. Resting at Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506) 634-7424 with visiting on Thursday and Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will be held from Brenan’s Chapel on Saturday, July 21, 2007 at 11:30 am. Interment will be in Ocean View Memorial Gardens at a date to be determined. Remembrances may be made to the Alzheimer Society or the Loch Lomond Villa Foundation.
