Obituary of Charles H. McKinney
McKinney, Charles H. … It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Charles Henry McKinney of Saint John, NB, occurred on Tuesday, July 10, 2007 at his residence after bravely battling cancer. Charles was Born in Saint John he was a son of the late William and Florence (Edwards) McKinney. He was employed with the Saint John School Board, a member of RCL Branch #14 and enjoyed camping at Town and Country. He served overseas in World War II as a private stationed in England, France, Belgium, Holland and Germany. Charles is survived by his wife Rose (Guitard) McKinney, one son, Bill (Alethia) McKinney, two daughters, Jennifer (Wade) Hunt and Tracy McKinney all of Saint John; one brother, Roy McKinney, three sisters, Helen, Dot and Annie, five grandchildren, Jessica, William “BJ”, Kristin, Haley and Thomas, and close family members Edward and Janice Brodeur and their children Ronald and Amanda, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by four brothers and five sisters. He also had six children from a previous marriage. Resting at Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB, (634-7424) with visiting on Wednesday, July 11, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 12, 2007 from Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00 am. Interment will take place in Ocean View Memorial Gardens. Remembrances may be made to NB Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society. There will be a RCL Tribute Service on Wednesday at 7:30 pm.
